Jamaican Missionaries Serve Worldwide

In honour of Black History Month, Mormon Newsroom Jamaica would like to spotlight some of the Jamaican fulltime missionaries.

Most Jamaicans are familiar with the sight of missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) walking by twos along our roads. Many people do not realize that Jamaican members of the LDS Church are called to serve as missionaries all over the world. In fact, in the past three years, of the forty-one young representatives from the Kingston region, only one-third of them were assigned to work in their home country. Jamaican LDS young men and women can be found serving the Lord on most continents of the globe. They too are answering the gospel call to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,” (Matthew 28:19).
